About Me
Hello!
I’m a culture-driven HR executive with 20+ years of experience building high-performing, mission-aligned organizations.
Career Background
My career includes national leadership roles at Teach For America, ASPCA, and VentureWell, where I advised executives, shaped strategy, and led major human capital initiatives.
At VentureWell and the ASPCA, I built each organization’s first people partner function and guided teams through significant periods of growth and transformation, including tripling VentureWell’s operating budget and growing the People & Culture function from a team of one to a ten person department.
At Teach For America, I served as the lead business partner to executive directors and C-suite infrastructure leaders across multiple regions and the organization’s national teams, partnering with leadership through complex organizational challenges while strengthening performance and culture.
“I had the privilege of managing Ursa when she was a People Partner on my team at Teach For America. Ursa is an exceptionally strong relationship builder who establishes credibility and trust quickly. She has the rare ability to pair empathy with clarity, helping leaders navigate complex and difficult moments with both compassion and compliance.”
Current Focus
I now bring this experience to consulting engagements and fractional Chief People Officer roles centered on organizational design, change management, risk navigation, total rewards, and developing the systems and leaders that power exceptional teams.
Approach
